As our staff wrapped up 2-days of collaboration and planning for fall programs, I couldn’t help but feel excited about what is to come. As we started our planning, we took some time to look at Colossians 4:5 which says, “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.” Our collective pursuit is to make the most of our programs and opportunities to connect with youth. I wish you could have been there with us, to look around the room at a crew of youth workers who love Jesus and fiercely care about the youth in our communities … it is deeply encouraging and challenging.
As we collectively planned the “curriculum” direction for one of our programs, we zeroed in on the following themes: community building, gospel identity, evangelism, prayer, relationships, and living out Jesus in everyday life. As these themes collide with meaningful relationships, we can’t help but be excited as we seek to make the most of our opportunities this coming school year. We would eagerly welcome new volunteers to join us … it is going to be an exciting year!
