This year at Stepping Stones we witnessed something beautiful: a sense of supportive community growing around our group of beautiful young women and children. We experienced many dedicated volunteers that acted as mentors every week for our young women as well as special women who worked with our children and babies. We also had many churches in our community make breakfasts each week for our group. As we plan for this fall season, we are looking at the vacant spaces needing to be filled to pull off this program for another year. Specifically, we are looking for more “grandma types” that would love to snuggle babies during our teaching times with the young women and a group of ladies that would be interested in finding, planning, and setting up a year’s worth of programming for our toddler/preschool age group. There is so much opportunity to help out and to be a part of a community whose intention is to bring hope and wholeness to young women and their families in Central Alberta.
