Mary Eggink
Counsellor (MAMFT, CPC)
I have been part of the CAYU staff working with young people since 2011, and I have been passionate about working with individuals in a counselling setting since completing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Briercrest in 2017. I have always had a passion for connecting with people and hearing their stories, particularly journeying with them in their most difficult circumstances and allowing a non-judgemental space for healing and growth. There are two things that I love doing and that I believe God has gifted me in – mothering and counselling. Both of these things are ultimately working towards the same goal: letting others know they are loved and heard.
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from a variety of theories and approaches to provide not only an environment of safety, respect, and empathy, but also a framework for developing positive change and greater self-awareness. I feel honoured to walk in the delicate and vulnerable places of hurting people, and I am in humble awe that God chose me to be part of His handiwork in this way.
